Bats in North Salt Lake City, Utah

Of all the wildlife in North Salt Lake, Utah, bats have to be the ones that you see the most.  With all of the tall homes with large attics, bats feel completely comfortable moving in and taking over!

This can cause big problems for families, especially as their droppings, or guano, builds up underneath their nests and can carry diseases like Histoplasmosis.  The following stories come from customers that had bat problems that we were able to solve.

We think we have a bat living on our front porch, it definitely looks like one has moved in. There\'s something up there that you can see but there\'s droppings on the front porch also.  At first we thought it was a mouse but then we saw something curled up in the corner of the porch that is small, brown, and furry. I have a picture of it if you need me to send it to you. Anyway we wanted to see if you had any advice for getting rid of it or if you would come get rid of it for us.  Thanks ahead of time.

I have an issue here with the bats in my attic and I think they are the big brown bats. I have counted 22 flying out of the chimney and roof area.  Last night I think I had I a big brown bat here in the house.  I’ve had three bats in my house in the last month but this particular bat last night was huge, he had a wingspan of about 15 inches. I\'ve never seen a bat like this before but I think it came through the door that goes outside, it sits open a lot of the time. I think all of the bats were trying to get their nest that I believe is in the attic.  I need these bats removed, I don’t want them in my attic and I definitely do not want any more in my house.

We have a bat that has made its way into the house I believe. We awoke early this morning to a squeaking that I have heard from bats in the past and it would hiss when we walked near the area it is located. It seems to be between the basement ceiling and the bedroom floor where some cables come up through the floor or around that area. I\'m not sure where these bats are getting in (maybe the chimney), but it seems we get 1-2 bats in the house each year. Normally I am able to catch them as they are flying around in the house and let them go outside, but with this guy in between the floor I am not able to get him and it seems a problem that they are getting in somewhere that needs to be fixed. I was hoping I could get an estimate for what it would cost to have this bat removed and the house searched for possible entry points.

Bat problems are very common and should not be taken lightly.  Letting a colony of bats nest in your home can put you and your family at risk of dangerous diseases.  We don’t want you to feel alone with your bat problem, we are here to help.  Feel free to call the number at the top of this screen and we will do our best to help you with your bat problems.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in North Salt Lake and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Wildlife Problems in North Salt Lake City, Utah

The following stories come from customers that have been assisted in North Salt Lake, Utah.  Having wildlife in your home can bring many risks to you and your family and should not be taken lightly.

We have lived in this house for 31 years and I have never had a snake in my house. We always keep our grass cut short and mow every week. My wife and I have seen some snakes out in our back yard but they are usually killed with the riding mower. After this bad weather we had last week we found a gopher snake that was about 7 to 9 inches long in my kitchen. That was two weeks ago and that was the first time we have ever found a snake in our house. We found another gopher snake in the kitchen the next day. It’s always only one snake at a time but we find at least one snake a day in my kitchen roughly the same size. We bought snake-out repellent and it does not seem to help. We also bought a very sticky rat catcher tape and placed wherever we think snakes are coming in. So far this problem is mild right now but I am afraid we will find more in the kitchen more often instead of once a day. I feel that we need professional help before this house get infested with snakes. Please help us. We have tried everything that I know to do and no luck so far.

I am having a vole problem, we noticed it last fall but we thought the damage was from our dogs.  We laid new sod twice last year just to have it eaten up by voles.  At first I had no idea what was going on, I thought it was moles at first, I had never heard of vole until I hired an exterminator. He came out twice last year and it made a little difference the second time he came, but now that I have done a little research and tried to get rid of these things myself it seems they are coming in from 3 sides of my back yard.  They go under the foundation of the garage and along the fence line into my neighbor’s yards. They are under my large deck area, around my pond, and throughout my flower beds.  I have tunnels in all of these locations, and call me crazy, but I think they are in my basement also.  Half of the basement is just crawl space that is just under 1/4 of the house.  It’s just dirt, there’s nothing under there except duct work.  It is very easy to access so I think they are under there also. I need help removing these pests for good.

We moved into our new home 10 years ago.  Most of our basement is finished except for the utility room, which had a mouse problem when we purchased the house - we found a large hole in the foundation but fixed it from the outside with cement and from the inside with foam spray.  This solved the problem for a while but now I am seeing mice droppings again and have begun catching mice in sticky traps that have been placed in basement utility room.  I can\'t figure out how they are getting in. I think I need a snake camera or something. I would like to get rid of these mice for good, not just poison or catch them for a little while. Thank you for your time.
