General Bird and Animal Control Questions

Back to Top Q. What free animal control services does your company offer to the public?

A. Our company offers the following free service: if you see a particular problem occurring on your property, take 5-10 digital pictures and e-mail them to us (use the Contact Us page). We will call you on the phone and discuss your situation for a few minutes and suggest a plan of action, as time allows.

Q. What can I do about the wild animal that is now in my house?

A. Well, you can ignore it, which we don't recommend. You can try to get rid of it yourself, which is hazardous. Or, you can call us, private wildlife control technicians. We will remove the animal as humanely as possible and restore your peace and safety.

Q. Who can help me with unwanted animals on my property?

A. City animal control does not help-they are responsible for dogs. You need to call a private wildlife control operator or technician. We are trained and experienced professionals who deal with pest animals every day.

Q. I found a baby wild animal on my property, what do I do?

A. It is best to leave it alone. Usually the mother will come and pick it back up. Don't disturb wildlife.

Q. How do I find out what kind of animal, snake or bird is making the noises/smell/mess I am hearing, smelling and seeing?

A. It could be just about anything, but ask yourself a few questions: What type of creatures are around during the day? What about at night? What you see in the area is often what will be in your home. However, many animals are nocturnal and you never see them during the day, but they make a lot of noise at night. Call us for an inspection and we will diagnose your problem and provide approximate pricing for a comprehensive solution.

Q. Can I legally relocate a wild animal from my property?

A. You would have to catch it first. Be careful, animals are dangerous. Second, be aware that what you see isn't usually the whole problem: there are often babies involved. In many states, wildlife relocation requires a license or permit. These rules are in place to protect both animals and humans.

Q. I live in a large urban area, why do I have a wild animal in my home?

A. Animals are part of the environment, even in cities. Whether you see them during the day or not, they are very common in all cities in the world, as well as in rural areas. You can expect to encounter wildlife wherever you live.

Back to Top Q. What kinds of animals do you remove?

A. We remove all animals, birds or snakes listed on this website: bats, raccoons, woodpeckers. Basically, smaller wild animals and feral domestic animals. If you encounter something unusual, give us a call. We do not find or remove stray pets. That is for your city dogcatcher. We do not deal with large game animals. That is the domain of your State Department of Wildlife.

Q. What do you do with the animals you remove?

A. It depends on state and local laws.

Q. Do you remove dead animals?

A. Yes. Remember, though, that it is easier and less dangerous to remove live animals than dead ones. Call for pricing for removal of dead animals, which varies depending on size, number and location, such as attics, walls or chimneys.

Q. What techniques do you use to remove animals?

A. We primarily use trapping, snaring, venting, block out, and sometimes special cameras.

Q. What is your service area?

A. We service all states, counties and cities in the United States. We do service worldwide, depending on the size of the project. Wherever you are we can help you. We have a network of associated pest wild animal control technicians that travel as necessary. We also help through coaching over the internet using digital pictures and can provide expertise and shipped products as needed.

Q. I live in a very remote area, can you still help me?

A. Yes. We can travel to your site, or provide coaching using digital pictures and then shipping products and materials required to rid your building of pest animals.

Q. What service options do you offer?

A. We provide services on-site and in person as well as individualized coaching over the phone and through the internet. Our services include professional trapping, venting and removal; we also perform structural maintenance and repair, including fencing if applicable. We can also recommend and provide effective products, supplies and equipment for complete animal removal.

Q. Can you recommend materials or supplies that I can use to remove the wild animal from my property?

A. Yes, depending on your situation. We can use digital pictures to provide coaching and then ship materials and products as needed. Animal and bird control coaching fees begin at $145 per half-hour.

Human Health & Safety Protection Against Animal and Bird Waste

Back to Top Q. Will wild animals hurt my family?

A. Yes, all wild animals have the potential for harm. That is why we suggest you allow professionals to take care of it for you. The harm isn't just about attack, but also disease. Wild animals carry a number of diseases, many of which can be transmitted to humans. Review the pages for specific animals for additional information.

Q. Will wild animals hurt my pet?

A. Yes. Domestic dogs and cats are a great food source for badgers, foxes and coyotes. Unfortunately, family pets are also seen as competition for food, shelter or territory and can be injured in fights with many types of wild animals. Pets can also contract diseases from wild animals.

Q. What kind of damage can wild animals do to my property?

A. Depending on the type of animal, the damage can be varied and extensive. People don't want to buy homes infested with pest animals and the property value drops 5-10%, not to mention reduced salability. Damage can occur in a number of ways: cosmetic, such as ugly streaks and staining from pigeons; utilities, such as chewed electrical cords; structural, rotted joists from long-term occupation by bats. The more animals there are and the longer they occupy a roof, chimney, attic, or wall, the worse the damage will be.

Costs for Bird and Animal Trapping and Removal

Back to Top Q. How much does it cost to have wild animals removed from my property?

A. We suggest you begin with a job site inspection to evaluate your particular animal or bird problem. Every job is different and the price varies, but it depends on number of animals, location of animals (common areas are: under a deck, under a roof, in a chimney, in a yard), and how long the problem has been going on. Inspection costs start at approximately $150-250, depending on your location. See our pricing list for Wildlife Removal.

Q. What forms of payment do you accept?

A. We accept Visa or MasterCard.

Q. What other free services are available to help me with my animal or bird problem?

A. Pest animals on your property are your problem. Local government officials are not experienced or insured to assist in wild animal removal and it is usually illegal for them to even attempt to perform services on private property. We suggest you call us; we are a private company of wildlife control professionals.
