Roof Raccoon Removal in Manassas, Virginia

Raccoons on your roof in Manassas, Virginia? It is a fairly common problem. And, the things those critters do up there—you wouldn't believe. Well, maybe you might because maybe it has happened to you and you need raccoon removal help.

Raccoons go on the roof to party. Really, that is what they do up there. You will hear all sorts of scuttling around and thumping and the like because they are having such a good time. Once they have chosen your house as the party house, it is pretty hard to make them leave. Some people recommend spraying them with a hose, but you have to stay up until the party animals choose to start their party and it will not last. It may give you temporary peace, but they will be back tomorrow. Permanent raccoon removal is the only way to stop the party.

Raccoons go on the roof as an excuse to tear a hole in it and move into your attic. Again, I really mean this. These animals have very strong and capable hands and can tear loose vents, shingles, decking, soffit and just about anything else in order to access their new home. These animals love to be in attics where it is warm, cozy and sheltered. It is a great place to raise a family and a mama coon will not move out until the babies are grown and she will usually be back again next year. If you notice unusual activity on the roof it is best to call for raccoon removal before the babies arrive. But, if they have arrived, hire a professional who will get all the animals out and not leave babies to stave to death in your attic.

Raccoons also go on the roof because it is a perfect toilet. These critters are very fond of high places to contemplate the world while they take care of their business. Gutters become fouled, shingles are damaged and the stink is overpowering. If you have this problem DO NOT attempt to spray the droppings away or shovel it unless you are wearing proper protective gear. Raccoon feces contain parasites and bacteria that can be transmitted to humans. When you hire a raccoon removal professional, we do the dirty work—even the really dirty work.

In the long run it doesn't really matter why the animal is up there, if you want them gone then our raccoon removal service is just right for you.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Manassas and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

For pigeon and bird control, bat removal, or relief from other pest animals, call our wildlife management experts. Many nuisance wildlife companies offer critter capture and control; our wildlife operators provide professional pest wild animal management. We remove the following AND MORE:

Skunk Removal in Manassas, Virginia

I have a friend in Manassas, Virginia who collects skunks. She is just crazy about the little black and white critters and has them all over her house—she has little ceramic figurines on shelves and skunk-print fabric on the bathroom windows. She has about 20 different t-shirts and fuzzy stuffed animals. She even has a skunk costume for Halloween. This all happened long before a family of the critters moved in under her porch. I wondered how she would deal with REAL skunks and how she would approach skunk removal.

At first she was thrilled. She called me all excited about the "cute little thing" that wandered across her yard. That was the momma. A few weeks later she was nearly beside herself when she first glimpsed the babies. "You can't imagine how adorable they are." And she took so many pictures you would have thought they were her grandchildren.

She wanted to see them as much as possible, so she bought dog food and put it out in the yard for them. As you can imagine, the animals were very pleased with their new take out restaurant.

But reality soon set in—skunks smell. Even really cute and adorable skunks smell. And they smell even more when they live under your porch. A few days later, she called and didn't seem quite so enthused when I asked about her new "friends." I asked if something was wrong, worried that one might have been injured or disappeared. "No," she said. "But there is a little skunk odor coming from the porch. Maybe one of the little things was frightened. It will probably go away soon."

It didn't go away, and neither did the animals. In fact, the skunk smell grew as the animals grew. After a few weeks, they weren't "the cute little things" anymore. She now referred curtly to "them." I could tell the honeymoon was over. I asked her if she had considered skunk removal. "Oh, but….." there was a long pause.

"It's time," I said. She started to cry, but said, "I know."

She was much happier next time we spoke. She talked about how hard it was at first, but how much better she felt, and how much better her house smelled since the skunk removal people came. I was almost afraid to ask, but did anyway. "Have you redecorated?" "No," she laughed. "I still love the idea, but skunk removal is the only choice when they are under the porch instead of on the shelf."
