Skunk Smell is not Welcome in Louisa County, Virginia
Louisa County, Virginia residents want to get rid of skunks.
There is a big skunk hanging around the neighborhood and he's getting in our back yard. He's sprayed (outside) the house a few times...but its an old wood house and it stinks up the house pretty bad. We do have a fruit tree and we are trying to keep the dropped ones picked up but he may also be after bugs, or perhaps hanging out under our deck. Toni T.
We have skunk odor around the house since this AM not sure if dog got sprayed or just got into odor cat seems clean. Skunk may be under porch or have gotten into basement through a hole under porch we are not sure at this time. We don't have any idea how to proceed. Our local county is McHenry in Illinois and I presumed they are only taking emergency calls today since it is a holiday. We could use some advice on how to proceed or we may need to get assistance from you to help us solve our problem. Larry H.
We had a skunk spray our dog in our backyard last night, but the smell has remained so pungent, especially in the yard, and in our master bedroom and closet, I am afraid s/he may be under the house (and/or deck). I am interested in having someone look in both of those places, and in having the animal(s) removed, if they are there. Jennifer J.
We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in
Louisa and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping.
We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.
Many of the projects we solve involve
raccoon families in attics and chimneys,
mud swallow nests on stucco,
woodpeckers drilling siding,
voles and gophers destroying lawns,
rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics,
skunks stealing pet food
and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.
Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and
commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake;
skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system?
We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife
removal operators and I are prepared to solve.
Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals,
we do a lot of other dirty work, too.
Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal,
pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings,
decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing,
odor control for skunk spray,
and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.
I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years.
My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Louisa County, Virginia has Common Rat Problems
Homeowners want to get rid of rats in Louisa County, Virginia.
I believe I saw a rat (or very large mouse) today on our 3rd floor (which is a bonus room/attic type space) and probably came out of the knee walls. For the past few weeks we've noticed an unpleasant odor emanating from a first floor closet. We live in a neighborhood with a rat problem. We have a cat and the street and our block alone has at least 8 cats but there is still a problem. This is the first sighting of a rat indoors, though we have seen them out of doors. Valerie H.
My artists' housing has rats in the attic. We found because one of the rodents has died and the smell is making the occupants of the house ill. I called my pest control company and they came out but could not find the dead rodent. He then proceeded to put some poison in the attic. SO now I have one dead rodent and the possibility of many dead more. I need help disposing of these things. What can I do? Laura E.
There are Rats in the attic of our home and dead rat found in the finished basement bedroom, continual bad smell in that room. I have young children and am very upset and want them extracted from wherever they died. Angela C.
