Burbank, California Residents are Fed Up with Bat Problems

Bat Problems are common in Burbank, California

Hello, I presently live in a condominium where bats have taken residence. They live in our wall and at night, we sometimes hear them scratching / moving around. We live in a 3 story condominium, and the bats are located in the second story wall. The entrance to their home is right off of our porch...which is an obvious crack between the roof and wall. Months ago, maintenance placed a net with wood (pieces of 2x4) hanging from it. I do not believe it is working because they have left it up for months and now, I just see them flying in and out from underneath it. I am concerned for my health, as we have had to live with a smelly/ musky odor as described in your information. Recently, I am starting to smell another strange smell. What are the effects of exposure to these feces and habitation in my wall? Should I consider this very hazardous to my health, and obtain an air sample? We noticed the condominium below us had a problem with "mold"? and the drywall has been ripped out/taken off. I look forward to hearing from you, as I do not like my current situation because it has gotten worse. Chris V.

We had noticed an occasional bat near our chimney in past years, but this year my son and his girlfriend spotted hundreds of bats pouring out from under the eave of the house where the roof met the outside brick wall. I checked tonight, and I believe I witnessed around five hundred bats leaving our attic. We are concerned that with such a large number residing in our attic that the guano problem will be quite severe. Bonnie D.

I noticed this summer I had a bat problem and I am sure they are dead in the vent they were using. One evening approximately 30 bats flew from the vent so the next night my husband sealed them out after what he thought was the all of them leaving. Later that evening I heard them trying to get out & now nothing is there. It was a small vent at the top of our home should we remove it and get a high powered vacuum to suck everything out or is this problem not over yet? Robin W.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Burbank and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

For pigeon and bird control, bat removal, or relief from other pest animals, call our wildlife management experts. Many nuisance wildlife companies offer critter capture and control; our wildlife operators provide professional pest wild animal management. We remove the following AND MORE:

Unknown Animals "Haunt" Burbank, California Homeowners

Homeowners want to know what kind of animal has invaded their houses in Burbank, California:

There are strange noises coming from the attic, as of large animals scratching and even burrowing. It sometimes sounds like they're moving things around, and it's always scary. This has been going on for several months now, but is growing worse. I would like to have these animals removed, when possible. Jennifer L.

I have heard animals under my bathtub late at night. There were at least two and seemed to be fighting. I have recently learned that they will return year after year and this seems to be the case. Debbie R.

We recently noticed a scratching sound that appears to be coming from a few places in the house. Appears to be inside the walls, and in the dead-space between joists. A few weeks ago we had smell issues, but it went away so we figured it had been a one-off thing. The sound right now was very clear and appeared to come from two separate animals. It also sounded fairly loud, louder than you'd expect to hear from a mouse or a rat (but we are clearly not experts...) Andrew H.
