Skunk removal from under a mobile home in Howard County, Maryland

Let me tell you about a terrible experience I had this week. I actually had to hire a professional skunk removal technician to come out and take care of skunks living under my house!

Well, those of you who know me know that I live in a small double wide with my two little boys. It isn’t glamorous, but we do our best to take care of it and to have the things that we need (no thanks to my ex-husband of course).

Anyway, the mobile home community we live in is close to the outskirts of town. It is situated next to a large grove of tall trees and the boys enjoy going outside to play until recently.

I have a pair of nasty skunks making what I will delicately call their “newlywed home” under my house. They are certainly enjoying their honeymoon because last night when I was trying to sleep I heard a lot of squeaking, growling, and loud banging down there. I couldn’t get to sleep at all and my very tired 5 year old came into my room rubbing his eyes and asked if there was a fight going on outside.

If you thought the noise was terrible, then you haven’t heard the worst of it. Among all the growling and squeaking, they sprayed several times and it is so disgusting! I can hardly stand to stay in my home, but we really have nowhere else to go.
