Raccoon Removal from a crawlspace in Anne Arundel County, MD

Raccoons have been in living in our crawlspace off and on for the last several years. Just when we think that they are gone for good, we hear them again. We are so tired of the smell, the sounds and the damage to our home. We are continually losing sleep because of their constant noise. It is so annoying.

We have tried several companies over the years that guarantee they can get rid of the raccoons. We paid them to come out and do some mumbo-jumbo and then within a few weeks, the raccoons are back. We want a solution once and for all. We received an excellent recommendation from my husband's co-worker for a professional raccoon removal technician named Marc. His co-worker said he had raccoons in his attic a few years ago, but after Marc performed his magic the raccoons have not returned.

With nothing left to lose, we called this Marc, hoping that he would perform a miracle for us. He said the first thing that he needed to do was to install some underground fencing around the perimeter of the house to ensure that future raccoons would not be able to get in. He dug a trench around our home and installed some underground fencing. Then he filled in the trench.

As Marc was installing the fence, he said he found an additional entrance where another family of raccoons was getting in and out of the crawlspace. Marc said that he is seeing more and more of this multi-family phenomenon. He said that it is most likely that these female raccoons were from the same litter that was probably raised in our home previously. Raccoons like going back to a place that they have lived before to raise their young. One "sister" stayed on one side of the crawlspace while the other "sister" lived on the other.

Marc trapped the adult females first with a special funnel trap. When he went into the crawlspace, he removed four babies from one mother and five from the other. Overall, we had 11 raccoons living in our crawlspace. Marc cleaned up all of the animals' waste and sealed up the entrances into the crawlspace.
