Here is some info we recently received from Southfield:
Hello, my name is Chris Herman and I live in Southfield, MI.
Just last week I removed a baby possum I noticed running along the back wall of my house (outside) while I was cutting grass. I decided to take him further down the street from my house where there is a nice wooded area.
Just yesterday I noticed a possum sitting on my garage door tracks (up in the air) and when i went to get gloves and then back to grab it, the possum made a run for it into some of my insulation. I have since removed every bit of insulation in my garage but i have of course seen nothing. I have no clue of how he got in there and also no clue if he even got back out the way he came in.
At the moment I just really need some type of peace of mind, and that means having a professional inspect it and inform me that hopefully he got away. My house isn't very large so there aren't to many places he could have gotten (if still in the garage). Thank you in advance for your help and attention to this matter.
We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in
Southfield and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping.
We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.
Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.
Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.
Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.
I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Southfield Wild Animal Control News, Stories, Events and Alerts
These are messages we receieved from our customers with bat problems:
"I have a bat infestation that I need help with. The smell has gotten out of control and I fear for the safety of my children. The bats gained access to the house through a room that was under construction and not finished." -Mindy W.
"We recently bought an older home in Southfield, and within the first days of staying here we
heard noises in the walls, discovered bat dung in the attic, found a
dead bat on our sidewalk and tonight had one in our bedroom (though we can't
find the point of entry). Could you give me an estimate as to what it would
cost to permently exclude these fellows from our house?" -Charles P.
"We suspect that we have bats in the attic. We haven't heard anything, but we recently noticed a faint ammonia smell indoors...and it has been very hot and humid here lately. We haven't seen any entering or exiting the house, but we do see them flying around at night in the yard. We don't have pets, so it is not a pet related smell. Would love if someone could come check it out. Thanks!" -Pat L.
