DeWitt, Michigan has Raccoon Problems

Homeowners in DeWitt want to get rid of raccoons in their homes and businesses.

I want to get the raccoon or raccoons (I am afraid it is now more than one) out of my attic. It sounds like horses running around up there and smells worse. Lights, noise and other "home-grown" cures have not helped. Denise E.

You are right that there is probably more than one raccoon up there. Normally when raccoons seek out houses, it is a female looking for a suitable place to raise young. Babies are born very small weighing less than a pound at birth. Typically the mother raccoon will stay in the attic until the babies are big enough to climb on their own. This generally takes about eight weeks. We recently removed a mother and 5 babies from a home. It took us nearly all day to clean up and repair the damage. The mother had destroyed several feet of duct work and a large amount of the insulation had to be replaced. Here's a deal: raccoons are difficult to get rid of, generally if they have babies. Often babies will be down in a walls where you won't be able to get to them without special equipment. Without proper care, they will die and have your house will be full of the stench and germs of decomposing bodies. Get a professional wildlife removal expert and have the job done right.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in DeWitt and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

DeWitt, Michigan has Skunk Problems

Skunk Removal is a big challenge for people in DeWitt, Michigan

I have spotted a skunk in my yard twice as recently as three evenings ago. There is a crawl space beneath my house and something has dug beneath the little door leading under the house. My house is for sale and this could be a major problem for me. Susan G.

After we came back from a month vacation, we saw a family of skunks playing in our backyard. They are at least 6 in number and become very active around sunset. Since the backyard was left unattended for a long period of time, we now have a lot of wild plant growth around the area. We have a playhouse structure in the backyard underneath which the skunks seem to have built their home. Nicole F.

Skunks have been coming into yard at night and even have come right into the house while we have the door open. Also pretty sure one was in another room as we found droppings. They don't seem to be too afraid of us. They come by probably 3 times a week at least! Brian S. br>
