Wildlife Problems in St. George, Utah

Many residents in St. George, Utah are having problems with wildlife.  These are a few of their stories.

A family of gophers has burrowed on my property near some large rocks around my foundation. I\\\'ve already seen five of them of them at one time- An adult with four young.  There may be more that I haven’t seen, it wouldn’t surprise me. I have a dog living at my house, and don\\\'t want it to get to the gophers and kill them. I also don\\\'t want to approach the burrow since it’s located at the far corner of my fenced in property and might make the animals aggressive towards me and my dog.  Please help.

We own a brick and cedar rental home in St. George, Utah. The south side of the building has been a favorite target of area woodpeckers over the past 20+ years (it was previously my parents\\\' home). Each year there will be 2-5 holes drilled into the cedar siding. We seem to think that the woodpeckers drill the holes and then smaller birds move in. No holes were drilled two years ago when the siding was stained and I think there was only one hole drilled last year. Our tenants tell me that they started hearing chirping noises several days ago (i.e., a week or so ago) in the wall of the upstairs bedroom. I am worried that the woodpeckers have returned and would like to take preventative measures beforehand.

A few months ago we had to put a new roof onto our home because the old roof was rotting and had large holes in it.  Ever since, we have been hearing scratching and chattering from time to time in the attic.  I’m not sure exactly what’s up there but I know raccoons are prevalent to this area and I’m worried that when we put the new roof on we closed them inside and now they’re trapped in the attic.  If you could help us remove them I would appreciate it.

Wildlife can be detrimental to your property and health, it’s best to deal with the problem as soon as it is discovered.  Here at Allstate Animal Control, we want to help you.

Feel free to call the number at the top of this screen and we will do our best to help you.

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Saint George and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Saint George Wild Animal Control News, Stories, Events and Alerts

St. George, Utah has wildlife problems

The desert climate and large population of St. George, Utah attracts a lot of wildlife to homes.  We receive many calls from families that are in a panic because of the animals in their homes!  We do everything that we can to help them remove these pests from their homes.

The following stories come from customers that we were able to help with their wildlife catastrophes.

I believe I may have a bat issue in my walls and attic which I do not have access to. I believe that having no access to the top of the house may be a major issue. I keep finding bats in the house and I can hear them in the wall at night. I\'m worried and I have three young children in the house. I need help. I\'m a first time home owner and I don\'t know how to handle this situation. I don\'t know if there\'s 10 bats or 100. I need to remedy this issue and get some help on mitigating any further issues. PLEASE HELP!

I have a rat problem. Usually they confine themselves to the palm trees, but 1 or more has moved into my attic space. It (or they) have chewed through a small water line -- twice -- requiring my plumber to come and replace the line. It has chewed through a part of the water line again (the same day) so as to cause another leak. It (or they) also ate the top of the container for the windshield wiper fluid in my car. A professional exterminator put one \"vessel\" out along the top of my fence a few months ago to kill rats. The poison in that is probably gone. I have no photos, but have seen the rats running along the top of my fence. Having them in my attic raises my determination to eliminate them from my home.

Within the past approximately 10 weeks, we have found at least a dozen snakes, some rattle and some bull, all over our property. We have attempted to kill the rattlesnakes but just deter the bull snakes from where the kids play. We have had one in the garage and tonight I found one in the house. We have several small children and my husband\'s job keeps him away a lot. I understand that we live in St. George and we have snakes. But having them in the house with these babies around is terrifying. I am not sure where to go from here. We would appreciate any advice or a consult or whatever you may be able to do for us. Thank you for your time and we look forward to hearing from you.

These customers thought there situations were out of control, and they were.  Luckily, we were able to help them control if not remove the situation.

We don’t want you to feel like you’re losing your home to the local wildlife.  Feel free to call the number at the top of this screen and we will do our best to help you with your wildlife problem.
