Raccoon Problems in Lehi, Utah

Many residents of Lehi, Utah have this one thing in common: their raccoon problems.  Be it on their property or in their home, they are ALL tired of the trouble these animals are stirring up.

I believe there is a raccoon in our attic. We had a female and her babies in our attic about 2 years ago and had someone trap them and relocate them. The person put up a wire mesh cover over the hole they used to get in, but I just climbed up on the roof and saw that the wire mesh covering has been torn off (I assume by the raccoon). I was awakened this morning to the sounds of thumping and scratching and I opened the attic door and looked in with a flashlight and saw a blur run by me to another section of the attic. I am almost positive it was a raccoon. I have thought about trying to trap it myself, but I know there are often babies involved (although I have not heard the sounds of babies yet) and I also know that if I fail to catch it properly then the raccoon will be wary of traps and I will have made its capture much more difficult. So I think I would prefer to let a professional handle it. At this time I have a radio playing at full volume in the attic (hoping that the loud noise will make it want to leave although I am pretty sure it doesn\'t care).    -Lana I

I have a family of raccoons living under my bathtub. I hear the mother and the babies quite loudly. There is a wall panel in the wall in closet which is where the pipes are for the shower, etc. We\'ve tried the ammonia soaked rag on Saturday night and bought a huge light for the basement, just in case, but they\'re still there. It\'s dark under the tub I guess, because they make noise day and night. We just moved in a couple months ago, and the house sat vacant at least 3 years and before that the owners came here 2 weekends a month. I\'m hearing all sorts of sounds such as running in the soffit, assuming squirrels, to the obvious sound of woodpeckers making holes on the opposite end of the house. The raccoons are the most important to remove. The noise with the raccoons I believe started 3 weeks ago. It consisted of scratching, moving around, vocal noises, and sliding down something, around the tub walls, but no sound of babies until about a week ago. Went outside, and spotted a large hole close to the roof on the smaller side of the house and down from there a large amount of the soffit pulled down, so I’m assuming that\'s where they are getting in. Roughly, you would need about a 24\' ladder to get to it.        -Dan W

There is a raccoon mama and what sounds like her little ones that have made a home in my roof. I’m pretty sure that they got in by pulling away a board around the vent underneath the eve of the second story window dormer. I saw the mom just now, so I’m positive of the animal, only questioning whether or not she has young ones. I need any and all animals removed from my home.     -Karen A

We solve many types of wildlife control conflicts in Lehi and surrounding areas. Give us a call if you need expert animal removal and/or live wildlife trapping. We can also perform an inspection of your property to evaluate the problem.

Many of the projects we solve involve raccoon families in attics and chimneys, mud swallow nests on stucco, woodpeckers drilling siding, voles and gophers destroying lawns, rats or squirrels thumping and bumping around inside walls and in attics, bat infestations, skunks stealing pet food and snakes living in crawlspaces and stone walls.

Along with physical damage and disease, wild animals also bring along disturbance and nuisance with all their noise and commotion and smell. Baby raccoons chirp and chitter like little birds; raccoons and rats will fight all night and keep people awake; skunk smell takes the cake, but have you ever smelled a dead animal in your ventilation system? We have seen much, much more than these problems, but that is a general idea of the kinds of problems that my professional wildlife removal operators and I are prepared to solve.

Not only do my technicians and I trap and remove problem wild animals, we do a lot of other dirty work, too. Don't hesitate to call us for dead animal removal, pigeon waste cleanup, bat guano removal, mouse droppings, decontamination, repairs, above ground and below ground rodent slick fencing, odor control for skunk spray, and the like. We are a full service pest control company with a wide range of animal control solutions.

I have been in the professional wildlife control business for many years. My favorite stories and experiences are removing bats from schools and churches.

Animals on the loose in Lehi, Utah

There seem to be more than enough animal problems for residents to share in Lehi, Utah.

We have had squirrel problems in the past but recently have had lots of noise from the attic and then last week we found a young squirrel on a sticky trap under our kitchen sink. We disposed of that critter but there are obviously more in the attic. We can hear them running around and chewing on our house.  My children are frightened of the sounds and I would like them removed.       -Casey S

We have a large amount of swallows living on our property in the eaves of our buildings. They have been there every year since the property was built. We have scheduled an exterior complete repaint of our apartment buildings and I do not want the birds to be harmed or disturbed. Can they be relocated? What are my options?                        -Laura C

We had bats in our attic last fall and had one bat that got into our living room.  We took care of it then but tonight, we found a bat in our bedroom. We’re worried that there may be more in the attic and/or walls.  We need this bat (and any others that are found) removed from our home.         -Jared C
