We recently received a frantic call from the organizers of a marathon in a major U.S. city.  They had a VIP party going on in a ballroom, and a bat flew near a woman’s plate.  She screamed and dropped her plate.  You can imagine, the organizers were horrified and needed the bat removed quickly.  Fortunately, the bat was removed quickly without further disturbance to the party.
